Park

Today Corey, Lexi, Avery and I went to a park by their house and played for a decent amount of time. We had a good time. Avery gets along really well with Lexi and she's a really good kid. She's 4 and she has a similar personality to Avery's which works out usually. Anyway we had a good day and we will be getting together with them more often now to play.

Parade Time

Last night Avery and I met up with my friend Corey and his daughter Lexi to go to the Oakdale Summerfest parade. We parked about 3 blocks away from the corner we were meeting him on, then they were a looooong way down the other way so we made quite the hike. Avery enjoyed the parade and the candy they threw. She was sticky faced and full of sugar after about an hour and of parading. It was pretty fun and she had a good time with Lexi. Then we had to make the hike back and I'm telling you, 30 pounds may not sound like much but I was sweating and my feet were killing me.

So I get home and can't figure out why my pinky toe hurts soooo bad. I'm thinking blister. No return of athletes from from hell. (aka Apptec where I used to work and got it in their damn locker room). PAIN. I hate this stuff.

News about me- I got my motorcycle permit on Wednesday! Yay me. Only 1 question wrong. I signed up for the Basic Rider Safety course at Century College and couldn't get in till July 17-20th. *Sigh* So now I have to wait. But in the meantime I ordered this super cool helmet (in lavender) and that should be here soon. I also am going to look at bikes in the near future. I have my eye on the Kawasaki Ninja 250R. (In black of course) SO exciting!!!

Kung Fu Panda

Perkins was where we ended up today for lunch since Applebees in the Midway has been closed for over a year apparently. I actually had decent tilapia. Avery wasn't too thrilled with the bunnies. I think she was a little nervous with them. But she did pet them a little and feed a few treats. Then later this afternoon Kung Fu Panda went pretty well. She made it through most of the movie without getting too antsy and I enjoyed the movie too. Its pretty cute, I'd recommend it!

Grandpa's Vacation

My dad has been on vacation since last Friday when my parents went to Two Rivers, WI for my cousin Matt's graduation party. So Avery has been enjoying him being home all day very much. Yesterday they planted flowers, put out rocks, played outside, took Tasha on a walk and Avery in the wagon for part way, and we had Tuna Cakes that I tried out for dinner. Today she went shopping and got tons of different stuff. Then she went for a picnic in the park with Daddy (I made Shrimp Liguini) and now she's playing over there. Tomorrow they're all going to meet me at Applebees by my work and then we are going to head over to the U so she can see the bunnies I work worth. Later that afternoon since its supposed to be rainy we're going to see Kung Fu Panda.

So busy busy busy! And the weeks not even over. PS, both recipes were very good!

Just me an Ave

My parents are in Wisconsin for one of my cousins graduation parties so its just me and Avery at the house this weekend. Today we ran some errands and played outside for a decent amount of time. It was a fairly uneventful week for her, but she does like the weekends so I'm home all day. Other than that not too much is new.

Fun stuff

Avery has been a busy girl. Yesterday we went to North St Paul days with Tim and she got her face painted, did some crafts and then we went home had lunch and a nap before we went to Jen's birthday/graduation party where she played with some other kids a little bit, and the dogs. We got rained on a little bit but there was a tent put up quickly that saved us all. The weather looked a little ugly, but it turned out okay. Today we were supposed to go to Nickolodean Universe at the MOA with Andrea and Cece but that didn't work out because of plans Andrea had for later. She's been looking forward to it for the last two days though so I am still going to take her even though there isn't anyone to go with. Just Momma and Avery day it looks like. I'll put up pictures later.

Cousins

Tierney is visiting today and Avery automatically turns into little miss jealous. She wants ALL the attention, and is used to getting it. So she tends to show off her not so pleasant side and hits things, waves large objects in the air, doesn't listen etc. These days I tend to leave the house. However today I don't have much to do, as I already made my Target run yesterday. Tim and I are going to the Acme Comedy club tonight for Matt Kirshen and dinner at Sticks, the restaurant connected to it. Should be fun, but we don't leave for another 3 hours. The girls are napping right now, so theres a nice lull in the action. Time to read!
