State Fair 08

This year I've managed to make it to the State Fair twice. Saturday I went with my grandparents, parents, and cousin Tucker who is 10. We went on one ride in the Midway, he practically lost it, and that was the end of rides. He played every little carnival game he could get his paws on and my mom and I finally went off to get some food. That was pretty much it. So I wanted to go again and bring Avery too so yesterday we went with my parents and her cousin Tierney. This time was spent in the Kidway with various eating excursions. So basically the same deal but it was more fun with Avery cuz she just had such a blast.

Everyone always asks what you eat at the fair so here it is for trip #1
-cheese curds
-root beer float
-buffalo chips (potato things with ranch)
-more root beer
-lemonade

Trip #2
-cheese curds
-garlic fries
-elephant ear
-lemonade
-sweet martha's cookies
-chocolate milk

Wow so yeah I'm not eating for a week. Just kidding, I went to Perkins today. Oh well. Packing on a little winter fat never hurt anyone right?

Kozlaks

Sunday my parents, Avery and I went to Kozlak's in Shoreview for brunch. It was fantastic. I've never been there before, and I will definitely be back. We didn't do too much this weekend. I had a friends grad party to go to Saturday and then my parents had friends over for dinner and Avery and I mingled with them for a bit. It was pretty laid back but it felt really long for some reason. I have no plans until the 23rd and I'm okay with that.

Today I brought Avery to the doctor for a bump inside her ear that has been hurting her. Its a pustule from some sort of bacterial infection so she got antibiotics and she should be good to go by Monday. And thats the news.

MN Zoo

Not too many exciting things have been going on recently. Avery went to my friends daughter Cloe's 6th birthday party a few weekends ago. She got to play in a little pool and run around with some older kids. She had a blast but we had to go so she could get a nap. She still gets so crabby without one.

Last weekend was my works picnic at the MN Zoo. Avery couldn't have cared less. There were bears at the new Grizzly Coast exhibit and she was just like eh. So we ate lunch wandered around a bit and left. Its too bad because it was next to free and the zoo is so expensive. But if she's not interested, she's just not. It was Tim's birthday so we went to eat at Aculpoco and gave him his presents.

This week is my birthday and we attempted to get a motorcycle jacket for me at Bobs Cycle Supply but their customer service is rotten and I finally walked out very ticked off. Dad's interviewing people at church so we can't have cake until later but Avery has forgotten it for the moment anyway.
